Ready-made apps
105 open-source apps in the App Store, and all of them run here, among them WordPress, Ghost, Vaultwarden, Paperless-ngx, n8n and Open WebUI. Pick one and it installs itself, with a database if it needs one.
Your apps at photos.lena.blitz.cloud
blitz.cloud puts apps online under an address that belongs to you. Pick a name, choose a ready-made app, a public Docker image or your own code on GitHub, and watch it come online. No servers to rent and nothing to pay to get started.
blitz.cloud is a hosting platform built and run by BlitzWorks, a software company in Regensburg, Germany. It has nothing to do with Blitz.js, blitz.dev or StackBlitz.
Ready-made apps in the store, and the databases behind them
105 open-source apps in the App Store, and all of them run here, among them WordPress, Ghost, Vaultwarden, Paperless-ngx, n8n and Open WebUI. Pick one and it installs itself, with a database if it needs one.
Search Docker Hub from the dashboard, or name an image on ghcr.io or another public registry. blitz.cloud reads the image to find its port and the settings it expects, then runs it in its own sandbox.
Connect GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg or Gitea and pick a repository, public or private. Every push puts a new version online. No Dockerfile? We write one. A front end, an API and a worker go online as one app.
Claim a name like lena.blitz.cloud. It is yours, it is free, and everything you host lives under it.
An app from the store, an image from Docker Hub, or a GitHub project we build for you. Give it a short name like photos and that becomes photos.lena.blitz.cloud.
The page shows each step as it happens, then a working link to share and a plain answer to whether everything is fine.
Every account gets all of this, the free one included.
Put it online
One address for you and as many addresses underneath it as you have apps. Certificates are issued and renewed automatically.
PostgreSQL 17, MariaDB 11.4 or Redis (served by Valkey 8), set up and connected to your app. Reachable from your apps and nowhere else.
Change the settings an app reads when it starts, stored encrypted. Folders an app writes to survive restarts.
Keep it running
Live logs, restart, pause and resume. When a build or an app fails, the page says why in a sentence and lists the steps that fix it. Any of the last ten versions can be put back.
Every awake app is checked once a minute, and its page says how the week went. You get an email when a deploy fails or an app stops.
Every database is copied off our machines every night and kept for seven nights, 30 on Pro. Going back to a night is one button, and it can be undone. On Pro your apps' files are copied too.
None of this is an add-on or a setting you have to find. Every app gets the same protection from the start.
Each app runs in its own gVisor sandbox. When an image asks for root, root stays inside that sandbox, and privileged containers are refused.
Network rules deny everything by default. Apps can't reach other accounts or the platform's own services.
Databases have no public address. Only your own apps can reach them.
Environment variables are encrypted before they are stored.
Backups are encrypted before they leave our servers and kept in separate storage in the EU.
Sign in with a passkey or a code from an authenticator app, and sign out any device from Settings.
Connect Tailscale or WireGuard, and an app only opens on your own devices, at the same address with HTTPS.
Settings lists every change to your account, including the ones made by your AI assistant, by GitHub and by us.
Add blitz.cloud to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code and sign in with your blitz.cloud account. Your assistant can then put apps online, connect databases, change settings and read logs. Anything that deletes asks you first.

blitz.cloud runs on servers BlitzWorks rents and operates itself, in data centres inside the European Union. Your apps and their data stay in the EU, and neither BlitzWorks nor the company that runs the data centres has a US parent.
Visits are counted by our own statistics tool, without cookies unless you allow one. On the free plan the dashboard shows ads from Google, Pro has none. On this website only the docs, the guides and the comparisons carry ads from Google, and Google only sets advertising cookies if you agree. Your apps have no ads and no trackers from us.

The free plan is meant to be lived in, not outgrown in a weekend. Pro is for an app that has to answer at any hour, a domain of your own or a second database. It is 7 EUR a month for your whole account, and you can cancel any month.

Monthly plans end any month. Yearly plans run for the first year, then one month's notice. Apps, databases and backups stay in the EU. Data and GDPR · Status of the platform
Runs on the free plan. Webhooks and schedules need it awake, which is Pro.
Takes the free plan's one database. A second app with its own needs Pro.
The bot runs on free as long as you sign in at least every two days. A dashboard that opens without a wait is Pro.
Yes. The free plan costs nothing, needs no credit card and has no time limit. An app nobody has visited for 30 minutes goes to sleep and wakes on the next visit. On Pro you can keep an app awake.
7 EUR a month including VAT, or 70 EUR a year, for your whole account rather than per app. It keeps apps awake, connects domains you own and gives you more databases. You can try it free for 14 days when you keep an app awake or add a domain; you add payment details only if you decide to keep it, and nothing is charged if you don't. The first month is refunded if you ask within 30 days.
Yes, if it is a public image built for amd64, on Docker Hub, ghcr.io or another public registry. An image that starts as root runs as root inside its own sandbox and nowhere else.
Yes. Connect your GitHub account and pick a repository, public or private. Every push to its branch builds a new version and puts it online, and the version running stays up until the new one works. A project without a Dockerfile gets one written for it. GitLab, Codeberg, Gitea and Forgejo work the same way.
In data centres inside the European Union. Database backups go to separate storage, also in the EU. blitz.cloud is operated by BlitzWorks UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Regensburg, Germany.
PostgreSQL 17, MariaDB 11.4 and Redis, served by Valkey 8. MongoDB is not offered, because its licence (SSPL) is written to prevent exactly this kind of hosted offering.
Yes, on Pro. Connect a domain you own to any app, with HTTPS. On the free plan every app gets an address under your name, like photos.lena.blitz.cloud, with HTTPS as well.
