blitz.cloud hosts apps under an address you own, like `photos.lena.blitz.cloud`. Today you can install one of the apps in the App Store, run any public Docker image from Docker Hub or another public registry, or build a project from GitHub. Any public project builds from its link. Connect GitHub and your own projects build too, private ones included, with a new version online on every push. Each app can have a managed database and gets HTTPS without you setting anything up.

To follow an app once it runs, read [app status and logs](https://blitz.cloud/docs/app-status-and-logs/): the Activity tab with earlier versions to put back, uptime and traffic, and the mails we send when something happens.

New here? Start with [getting started](https://blitz.cloud/docs/getting-started/). If you want to know whether something works yet, [what's live](https://blitz.cloud/whats-live/) is the honest list.

## Docs

- [Getting started with blitz.cloud](https://blitz.cloud/docs/getting-started.md): Create a free blitz.cloud account, claim your address, connect GitHub if you like, and put your first app, Docker image or project online. No credit card, no terminal needed.
- [Deploy a Docker image on blitz.cloud](https://blitz.cloud/docs/deploy-docker-image.md): Run any public Docker image on blitz.cloud, from Docker Hub, ghcr.io or Quay, with HTTPS, environment variables and persistent storage built in.
- [Deploy a GitHub project on blitz.cloud](https://blitz.cloud/docs/deploy-from-github.md): Connect GitHub or paste a link to a public repository, and blitz.cloud builds the code and puts it online with HTTPS, with a new version on every push. How the build works, which port is used and what fails.
- [App Store - one-click open-source apps on blitz.cloud](https://blitz.cloud/docs/app-store.md): The blitz.cloud App Store has 119 open-source apps. What they need in memory, space and databases, and how installing works.
- [Managed databases on blitz.cloud - PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Redis](https://blitz.cloud/docs/databases.md): Create managed PostgreSQL 17, MariaDB 11.4 or Redis (Valkey 8) databases on blitz.cloud, connected to your app automatically and backed up every night.
- [Backups and restore on blitz.cloud](https://blitz.cloud/docs/backups.md): blitz.cloud copies every database off-site every night, and on Pro the files your apps keep too. How long copies are kept, how restore works, and what is not backed up.
- [Addresses, subdomains and HTTPS on blitz.cloud](https://blitz.cloud/docs/addresses-and-https.md): How your blitz.cloud address and app subdomains work, the naming and rename rules, automatic HTTPS, your own DNS records, and connecting a domain you own.
- [App status, logs and troubleshooting on blitz.cloud](https://blitz.cloud/docs/app-status-and-logs.md): What an app's status means on blitz.cloud, what the five tabs show, how to restore an earlier version, and how to fix why an app won't start.
- [Private apps with Tailscale or WireGuard on blitz.cloud](https://blitz.cloud/docs/private-networks.md): Make an app private on blitz.cloud so only your own devices can open it, through your Tailscale tailnet or your WireGuard network. How to connect, and what changes.
- [Connect Home Assistant to devices at home](https://blitz.cloud/docs/home-assistant-home-devices.md): Run Home Assistant on blitz.cloud and let it control the Hue Bridge, Shelly plugs or MQTT broker on your home network, without opening a port on your router.
- [Environment variables and persistent files on blitz.cloud](https://blitz.cloud/docs/settings-and-files.md): Set encrypted environment variables for your apps on blitz.cloud and keep files across restarts with persistent storage. Limits and what isn't backed up.
- [blitz.cloud plan limits - apps, memory, storage and databases](https://blitz.cloud/docs/limits.md): Exact limits of the blitz.cloud free plan: apps, memory, storage and databases. How memory is reserved per app, CPU, and what is not limited.
- [Account security on blitz.cloud - passkeys, 2FA and sessions](https://blitz.cloud/docs/account-security.md): Sign in to blitz.cloud with email, GitHub or Google, protect the account with passkeys, authenticator app codes and per-device sign-out, and change your email, download your data or delete the account yourself.
- [Connect an AI assistant to blitz.cloud over MCP](https://blitz.cloud/docs/ai-assistants.md): Let Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client deploy and manage your apps on blitz.cloud. Sign in with your blitz.cloud account or use an API key. Setup, what an assistant can do, and the limits.
- [Manage your apps from a terminal with the blitz command](https://blitz.cloud/docs/cli.md): The blitz command lists your apps, puts new ones online from the App Store, a Docker image or GitHub, restarts and pauses them, runs a command inside one, shows their logs and changes their settings. One file, Node.js 18 or newer, an API key.
