Evolution API hosting in the EU
Run your own Evolution API, an alternative to Twilio and WhatsApp Business API. One-click install, HTTPS, servers in the EU. Free plan, no card.
Evolution API: send and receive WhatsApp messages from your own code through a simple API. On blitz.cloud you install it from the App Store in one click. It gets its own address with HTTPS, 1 GB of storage and the PostgreSQL and Redis it needs, and it runs on servers in the EU. You can run it on the free plan, without a credit card.
A self-hosted alternative to Twilio, WhatsApp Business API, Z-API and WAHA
Evolution API does the job of Twilio, WhatsApp Business API, Z-API or WAHA, but it is your own copy: your data sits in your app, not in somebody else's account, and nobody changes the price or the rules on you. Self-hosting usually means renting a server and keeping it patched. Here the App Store sets it up and keeps it running.
What it needs
| Need | Evolution API |
|---|---|
| Memory | 128 MB reserved from your plan |
| Storage | 1 GB |
| Database | PostgreSQL and Redis, created and connected for you |
| Plan | Free or Pro |
Install it
- Create a free account and open the App Store in the dashboard.
- Search for Evolution API, or for Twilio, and pick a name. It becomes the address, like
evolution.yourname.blitz.cloud. - Click Put it online. The last step lists everything that gets created, the database included, and how much of your plan it uses.
- Open the app's address/manager and sign in with this API key.
- Create an instance, then scan its QR code with WhatsApp on your phone.
While it sleeps
Evolution API only connected to WhatsApp while it is awake, so messages and webhooks wait until then. On the free plan an app sleeps after 30 minutes without visitors. On Pro, installing Evolution API keeps it awake. If only this one app has to stay awake, you can make it a Pro app instead of moving your whole account.
Good to know
WhatsApp does not allow unofficial clients, so a number used this way can be banned.
