Install it
- Create a free account and open the App Store in the dashboard.
- Search for Paperless-ngx, or for Evernote, and pick a name. It becomes the address, like
paperless.yourname.blitz.cloud. - Click Put it online. The last step lists everything that gets created, the database included, and how much of your plan it uses.
- Open the app's address and sign in as admin with this password.
- Drag a scan or a PDF onto the page. Paperless reads the text so you can search for any word in it later.
While it sleeps
Paperless-ngx only fetches documents from your mailbox while it is awake. On the free plan an app sleeps after 30 minutes without visitors. On Pro, installing Paperless-ngx keeps it awake. If only this one app has to stay awake, you can make it a Pro app instead of moving your whole account.
