Firefly III hosting in the EU
Run your own Firefly III, an alternative to Mint and YNAB. One-click install, HTTPS, servers in the EU. Free plan, no card.
Firefly III: keep track of every account, bill and budget in one place, with reports that show where it all went. On blitz.cloud you install it from the App Store in one click. It gets its own address with HTTPS, 1 GB of storage and the PostgreSQL it needs, and it runs on servers in the EU. You can run it on the free plan, without a credit card.
A self-hosted alternative to Mint, YNAB, Quicken and Moneydance
Firefly III does the job of Mint, YNAB, Quicken or Moneydance, but it is your own copy: your data sits in your app, not in somebody else's account, and nobody changes the price or the rules on you. Self-hosting usually means renting a server and keeping it patched. Here the App Store sets it up and keeps it running.
What it needs
| Need | Firefly III |
|---|---|
| Memory | 128 MB reserved from your plan |

Install it
- Create a free account and open the App Store in the dashboard.
- Search for Firefly III, or for Mint, and pick a name. It becomes the address, like
firefly.yourname.blitz.cloud. - Click Put it online. The last step lists everything that gets created, the database included, and how much of your plan it uses.
- Open the app's address and register. The first account is the owner.
- Add your bank accounts, then import a statement or enter your first transactions.
Good to know
Recurring transactions and bill reminders need a daily job to call the app, and nothing here does that for you yet.

Is Firefly III backed up?
Its database is backed up every night: 7 nights are kept on the free plan, 30 on Pro. On Pro the app's files are copied every night too.
How does Firefly III get updates?
